Experience
Nancy Ehrlich Lapid is a former writer for Verywell Fit covering celiac disease. She has written and edited for the Stevens Institute of Technology, Research Institute of America, Scientific American, New York's Mount Sinai Hospital, and Reuters Health Information Services, Inc. She has been a freelance editor at a variety of institutions, including Brigham and Women's Hospital, Beth Israel Hospital (Boston), New York University Medical Center, Rabin Medical Center, the New York State Department of Health, Maimonides Medical Center, Hokkaido University, Westchester Medical Center, and the Cleveland Clinic.
Nancy is co-author (with Patricia A. Sheiner, MD) of a chapter titled, "Data presentation: how to write and submit abstracts and papers," which appeared in a textbook called Surgical Research (Wilmore DW, Souba WW, Eds. Academic Press, San Diego, 2001). She has given many talks to medical students, residents, and junior medical faculty on the material in this chapter.
Education
Nancy graduated from the State University of New York at Stony Brook with a BA in economics. She was a Science Writing Fellow at the Marine Biological Laboratory in Wood's Hole, Massachusetts.
